Hi.
I had a look at the rockbox project the other day and at players on ebay.
I'm basicly looking into the ipod video and the iriver pmp 140 which is kinda like a ipod video.
However, i wanna know if there is anything that the firmwhere that you have to install does not let you do compared to the firmware on there allready?
Also, what is the speech like and how easy is it to install?
THX,
BEN.
The rockbox firmware is virtually a replacement firmware for the aforementioned players. I have not used it on the IPod range of players, as I have an iriver. There are some noticeable differences with recording, etc, such as being able to record in wav only, as opposed to mp3 only, etc., but again, these are nothing to do with the IPod video, as it cannot record. To be honest, for my money, I would be looking at an Iriver h340, but thats just my opinion. It shows up as another drive in my computer/windows explorer where you can dump the .rockbox files
